Holiday Fishing Trips
The 2024/25 Holiday season is upon us, and it’s looking like a great season so far. We’ve had a good amount of snow, and it’s been pretty cold the last few weeks. Our lakes are capped over with ice, and conditions are shaping up nicely. I would guess that in about 7-10 days, we’ll have safe ice conditions on our early-season spots. Early ice is a great time of year to get out and enjoy some excellent ice fishing. Typically fish are very active this time of year, it’s typically very active and the fish are hot. From trout and grayling to perch and pike… Early ice is great!
If you’re looking to get out for a fun guided ice fishing trip we have you covered. Our ice fishing trips are private trips, so it’s just your guide and your group. That way you get personal attention from the guide to make sure everyone has the help they need to catch fish. We can handle any group size, adults and kids. If you’re a group with a bunch of kids that’s no problem! We take lots of family and kiddos ice fishing. We keep it fun for everyone!
How cold is it? I get asked that lots… While it’s cold outside we have high-end portable ice houses set up before you get there. Each ice house has heaters running and will keep you warm on the coldest of days. Comfortable chairs for each person will also help keep the comfort level high. We’ll keep you warm and comfortable on your trip. No more freezing your butt off like you did when you were a kid when your dad or grandpa plopped you on a bucket on a frozen lake!
How’s the fishing? It’s typically very good! We’re not just randomly drilling holes in the ice and hoping for fish. We are out guiding and fishing every day, and know where the fish are and how to catch them. We use ice fishing-specific electronics to make things easier. You can see the fish and your jig. No more guessing where the fish are or if they’re even there. We also do moves to stay on fish or find new ones. We call this hole hopping. Moving from one area to another ensures that we stay on fish and keep the activity level as high as we can. It’s a great time to get out, enjoy the scenery, and stretch your legs.
