Fishing Report, June 7
It’s sstarting to feel like summer is creeping in. We have had some warm days in the last week. Well… Warm by our standards, highs in the low 80’s. Looks like 70-80 for the next week or so. I’d expect our water temps remain in the cold zone keeping the fishing good. Light “W” too and the world is good.
Fishing Report, Whitefish
The Flathead River is flowing at 25,100 CFS and is flowin steady. The North Fork is on a slight drop, Middle Fork is dropping too… South Fork is has bumped up below the dam. The Flathead has peaked and is on a small drop. Let’s see what the warmer weather does to these flows. I’m thinking it may start to fish good in a few days. Fingers crossed
Fishing Report, Kalispell
Since the river is not the best option we are still running trips on Rogers Lake. It’s been a great trip and the fish are cooperative. Nymphing midges and mayflies is very productive. Fish deep and fish mid. Grayling are mostly what we are catching with the occasional cutthroat. Pike fishing has been great too. There are a few great pike lakes for those willing to venture off the beaten path. Gear and fly are all great options. Smallmouth are not far away either.
