Fishing Report, October 18

This great fall is still rolling along! The weather forecast os looking pretty fishy too! Some sunshine, clouds, rain, and highs in the 50s all point toward bugs and fish-eating dry flies. The Flathead River has been fishing great, the Clark Fork River will get buggy and fishy in the clouds and the Blackfoot has good streamer action right now. Sorry for the short report today. I’m getting married tomorrow and I’m running short on time!

Fishing Report, October 18

Fishing Report, WhitefishFishing Report, Whitefish

The Flathead River is fishing pretty well right now. Nymphing is the most productive method, and streamer fishing is really good, too. As long as our daytime temps are reasonable, I would expect the Flathead to keep producing. Lake Superior Whitefish are in the system and pretty active. If you’re looking to keep a few fish for dinner then the Lake Superior Whitefish trips would be a great call.

Fishing Report, Kalispell

The Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers are a short drive from most places in the Flathead. The Clark Fork is about to get really buggy and good. I would expect to see BWOs and Mohags going crazy the next cloudy and rainy day. Blackfoot River is fishing great for streamer anglers. Bigger Cutts and the occasional ripping rainbow will keep you engaged.
