Fishing Report, April 10
Another great week of weather, fishing and Montana! The weather is looking pretty nice the next 6 days with highs in the 60’s and lows in the 30’s. The Flathead has bumped up in flows a bit and is defiantly off color but is still fishing good. I would expect it to get a little more clarity in a few days. I’ll keep you in the loop as we know…
Fishing Report, Whitefish
The Flathead River is flowing at 5930 cfs and temps are peaking at 44 on the sunny days. Overall the river is trending up and clarity is decreasing with this warm weather. With that said the river fished pretty good today. Good numbers of fish willing to eat. It seems to be the trend so far this year. Good fishing on the Flathead. Bugs are out and there have been a few days with good dry fly fishing. Mostly been seeing March Browns.
Fishing Report, Kalispell
With the warmer weather lately we are seeing lakes start to thaw out and fish good. Pike have been active, smallmouth are starting to eat and there are a few trout lakes giving it up. As water temps start to get warmer these lakes will get better and better. Pike are probably spawning right now in the smaller lakes, Smallmouth in the Kalispell area are defiantly pre spawn but getting closer and closer everyday. The Clark Fork River has been fishing good too. Lots of good options in the Kalispell area. The Flathead Rive is very close to Kalispell and is a good option.
