Fishing Report, March 28

Alright, so, here’s the update: The Flathead was fishing awesome until three days ago. Then, things got muddy. Thanks, rain and warm weather. Now we’re looking at 10,500 CFS and temps around 41 degrees. Yeah, not ideal. Basically, the river’s a no-go for a few days. When’s it gonna clear? Honestly, my best guess is Tuesday. April Fools’ Day, of all days. Perfect, right? I’ll keep you posted on what the river’s doing. So, what’s the plan? We’re hitting the lakes! And speaking of weather, it’s doing its spring thing. We’re looking at sunny and 50s tomorrow and Sunday, which is nice. Then, bam! Cold nights, rain, snow. Classic spring, right?

Fishing Report, Whitefish

Fishing Report, WhitefishAlright, folks, heads up: ice fishing north of Whitefish? Yeah, that’s a wrap. Places are opening up, and it’s just not safe anymore. We’ll be back at it come December, though. Man, it was a great year on the ice, right? Some seriously awesome days. And honestly, we couldn’t do it without all the great folks calling us to take them fishing. Austin, Chris, Logan, and I? We really appreciate everyone letting us take them out for a fun day of fishing! We’re already looking forward to December!

Fishing Report, Kalispell

Okay, so, Flathead’s a mess right now, so we’re shifting gears to the local lakes. We’ll be sticking to the lakes until the river decides to behave itself. We’re going after rainbows and pike, and honestly, nymphing under an indicator’s been the ticket. Balanced leeches and chironomids are what we’re throwing. Some days we’re pulling up some real tanks, and other days it’s more of a mixed bag. And hey, in a few weeks, we’ll have even more lake options opening up, which is cool.

Now, if you’re itching for a river, the Missouri’s your best bet. The Blackfoot and Clark Fork? Yeah, they’re blown out, and it’ll be a bit before they’re fishable. I’ll keep you posted on when they start to clear up and get “Fishy”
